Specialist training

Brian graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1988. He completed his general Ophthalmology training at Auckland Hospital before starting a series of overseas fellowships in Melbourne, Cincinnati and Vancouver. This overseas training was in the subspecialties of Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery.

Dr Brian Sloan has a subspecialty of Oculoplastic surgery, includes surgery for skin cancers and watery eyes, as well as surgical correction of drooping or baggy eyelids, and reconstructive surgery following injuries.
