MB ChB (hons) 2002 Sheff; FRANZCOG 2017
I commenced my specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) training in the UK, which I completed in New Zealand, after emigrating here in 2011. I have completed Membership exams for The Royal Colleges of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the UK (RCOG) and Australia & New Zealand (RANZCOG). I completed advanced training in pelvic floor surgery (RANZGOG ATM in Pelvic Floor) in 2016. I became an O&G Specialist in 2017.
I love the opportunity I have to talk with women about the issues that are important to them, and to work together with them to improve their health and quality of life.
I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland and lead the Obstetrics and Gynaecology teaching programme for Year 5 medical students. I am involved with several research projects, including a NZ multi-centre trial of induction of labour and the utility of a vaginal pressure sensor probe (Femfit®) for pelvic floor disorders.
I am married and we have four children ranging in ages from 1 to 21 years. My hobbies include cycling, cooking and playing the piano.
