Qualifications

MBBS, Post grad Dip OBS/GYNAE, Post Grad Dip Addiction Studies (NZ), FRANZCOG

Deepika originally trained in general medicine and then specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India. She worked in private practice prior to arriving in New Zealand in 2008. She then completed her Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in New Zealand. During her training she worked in multiple hospitals across New Zealand.

Deepika is a visiting consultant at Te Whatu Ora (Waitemata), Te Whatu Ora (Te Toka Tumai Auckland) and also works as a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist for Shore Surgery. Deepika is a Senior Lecturer at University of Auckland and part of Obstetrics and Gynaecology teaching programme for medical students.

Deepika‘s obstetrics interests include medical complications in pregnancy, especially gestational diabetes and high risk pregnancies. Her gynaecological interests include menstrual disorders, menopause and colposcopy. Deepika is also a CQUIP accredited colposcopist.

Deepika is married and has two beautiful young children. She enjoys listening to music, dancing, walking and travelling.
